IndiaIdeas is a technology product and services company, promoted in March 2000. The Company is focused on creating Internet based products, targeted at banks and other financial product providers that will help existing brick-and-mortar players leverage their strengths and reach out to a larger customer base.

Sharing this vision of the Company and financially backing it are Bank of Baroda and the National Venture Fund for Software and Information Technology.

Challenge

Previously, Bill Desk was an operational organization that used to partner with the various billers and banks. The banks used to register the customers for various billers through physical forms. The limitation of the system was that all the registration and the bill payment processes were the manual processes.

The challenge was to develop a robust online system to smoothly co-ordinate with the billers, banks, gateways and the customers and thereby reduce the operational costs. The system also needed to be integrated with various billers and banks, who would request the data in different formats.

Solution

Tekstrom was involved in testing the complete functionality of the VBPSI (Visa Bill Pay Standard Instructions) Application at all levels. The VBPSI is one of the services provided by Billdesk where the Billers/Gateway user will call the customer and do the registration. VBPSI is designed for Billers and Gateway management.
